Cunningham Rolls Up Our Sleeves for a Good Cause

Sacramento Habitat for Humanity is the latest recipient of Cunningham's Philanthropy

Cunningham Engineering provided civil engineering services for the 14-home Indian Lane Development in South Sacramento.  The neighborhood is a Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and each home will be LEED certified.

But, the story doesn't stop there.  In addition to contributing to the design, Cunningham employees volunteered their precious weekend hours to be hands-on with the project's success. Pictured above are Cunningham employees: Liz Eriksson, Charles Krafka, Steve Greenfield, Brian Foster, Victoria Hatch and her son, Adam.  Brian commented, "Habitat was so organized, they had tasks for each of us based on skill level."  He went on to say, "It was such an incredible team building experience - we had fun while doing something so rewarding."

Since 1985, Sacramento Habitat for Humanity has completed 96 homes, offering low income families the opportunity of home ownership that otherwise would be impossible.  Builds have primarily consisted of single family homes on infill lots, and Habitat has embraced the importance of sustainable designs and LEED best practices.

At Cunningham Engineering, we are proud of our successful collaboration with Sacramento Habitat for Humanity.  We look forward to contributing to future builds, and hope that you, too, will consider getting involved with this inspirational organization.
