Project Coordinator

Cunningham Engineering, a fast-paced civil engineering and landscape design firm in Sacramento is growing! We are seeking an experienced project coordinator to join our friendly staff and great working environment. This is a new position created for a mid-level, career-minded professional. The right candidate will possess this Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Background in land use planning, land development or project coordination for an engineering or architectural design studio or a land planning / entitlement consultant.

• Working knowledge of the entitlement process.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar support role.

• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organization skills.

• Exceptional writing, grammar, and editing skills.

• Ability to think independently, act pro-actively, yet be open and responsive to coaching.

• Glowing references from industry colleagues, i.e., design professionals or developers.

Essential Functions of the Project Coordinator:

• Coordinate Project Applications. Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of entitlement and plan check applications and supporting materials. Research application submittal requirements to ensure complete and timely submittal packages. Track agency review periods – make calls and/or other actions as necessary to keep the process active and keep Clients informed.

• Manage the scope and fee preparation process for project pursuits. Work closely with project managers to outline, research, draft and format scope of services, fee proposals, change orders and amendments. Process signed contracts.

• Manage Client and Project meetings. Arrange meetings among Clients, consultants, agencies and others. Prepare agendas and supporting materials. Attend meetings, as needed. Draft meeting minutes for distribution.

• Track project tasks for compliance with scope of work and schedule adherence. Prepare and actively monitor critical path scheduling items.
