LEED Expertise
In the context of LEED certification, Cunningham Engineering has experience with all aspects of land planning, site design and development. Our knowledge of LEED is demonstrated through our credentials: we have on staff the first civil engineer in the greater Sacramento region to become a LEED Accredited Professional with the Neighborhood Development specialty (LEED-AP ND). We are the only firm in the region to have multiple LEED-APs ND on staff.
Our knowledge and experience of LEED is broad as well as deep, having worked on numerous projects registered or certified under LEED for New Construction and Major Renovations (LEED-NC), LEED for Core & Shell (LEED-CS), LEED for Homes, and LEED for Retail (Pilot). Cunningham Engineering has experience performing feasibility analyses and site evaluations for various projects considering certification under LEED for Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND).
We were one of the first firms in the region to educate local design and planning professionals on LEED-ND, having presented to the local USGBC and Urban Land Institute (ULI) chapters, and various non-profit and for-profit developers.
Building knowledge about green building practices and LEED best practices, utilizing this knowledge in projects, and sharing this knowledge with others, are all a part of Cunningham Engineering's commitment to helping create sustainable built environments.
